Suitable for 7-11 year olds, this is a 1 day workshop where students will design and make their own Pinata, either using gum strip and a 'special technique' which results in durable, ornate Pinata, or by using papier mache (which is slightly messy and will need lots of space to complete, eg. school hall). The Pinatas can then be used in future school parties or taken home.
The classroom surfaces will need to be cleared to provide drying areas and tables need to be covered. Children will need to wear old t-shirts and aprons. The subject focus of this workshop can be varied to tie in with any current projects such as a school production, display or special festive occassion.
