Photographic Art Workshop
11-16 year old students looked at Gillian Wearing's photographic art and created their own images influenced by her work.
Suitable for 7-16 year olds. This is a simple 2 hour workshop resulting in some wonderful images. Looking at the art of Gillian Wearing, students will be asked to create a piece of written collage focusing on current issues. Using newspaper and magazine cuttings they will create a collaged message sheet to be used in their final image. Images will be taken using digital and instant cameras. The workshop is great for students who lack confidence producing creative images or ideas. It's simple and uses words to create strong visual statements that stimulate interesting discussions between students.
