Ways of Looking (all ages)
This interactive session introduces pupils to looking at and discussing works of art. Each session aims to develop students understanding, appreciation and confidence when looking at and analysing modern and contemporary art.
The Human Figure in Art (11-18 yr olds)
This workshop begins with a discussion based activity introducing a selection 20th century artists’ work. Led by Julie this session is designed to encourage pupils to discuss and analyse the representation of the human body in art, particularly looking at 20th century examples. This is followed by a practical session giving pupils the opportunity to develop their drawing skills and produce their own artwork.
Landscape in Art ( all ages)
This workshop introduces pupils to landscape themes in 20th century painting. Following a discussion based session students will have the opportunity to take part in a group sketching activity producing their own work in a number of different styles. This is followed by a session designed to encourage students to assess and evaluate their own work.
Big Art
This workshop is designed for children in pre-school and early years education including nursery groups, play groups and primary schools. These workshops focus on looking and discussing, using exploration and play activities as well as making art, enabling children to develop their own creativity.
Fun, Fun, Fun Art ( all ages)
I also provide a series of fun, end of term activities such as T-Shirt Printing, Badge Making, Card Making, Jewellery Making. Haloween, Christmas, The Chinese New Year, Diwali and many other festivals are also coming up book a special festival workshop and celebrate.
